he National Remodeling Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to advance the general level of professionalism within, and to provide a clearinghouse of information regarding, the remodeling industry. The National Remodeling Foundation was originally founded by Bill Greene, NARI President 1991-1992. While the composition of the board of the foundation in the past has been primarily NARI members, In an effort to bring the industry together we are actively seeking participation with other remodeling associations so together we can make a difference. As a start we are pleased to be joined in our efforts by NKBA past president Charles Wheeler CKD, CBD, New Orleans, LA and NAHB Remodelers Council past chairman Michael Weiss, Carmel, IN. In 2001 the NRF together with NARI generated support valued at more than $250,000.00 for the NYPD efforts following the events of 9/11. Together, we can do more.
The NRF has the power to:
Expend funds for the development of new educational programs, including related course material, which are specifically designed to raise the professionaism within the remodeling industry
Expend funds to sponsor research activities designed to provide information needed by all sectors of the remodeling industry, including contractors, manufacturers, distributors, lenders and the consumer.
Support scholarships and similar grants to assist professional training of individuals entering the remodeling field, who are determined to be worthy of financial assistance.
Embark on any other activities judged necessary to ensure an ample supply of professionally trained individuals entering the remodeling field in the future
